We are a small company sailing with turist to see whales, go fishing or to explore the nature. We also sail with local companies and people wanting to travel to nearby cities and villages.

In Greenlandic, Salik is a boy's name that possibly comes from the word saliisoq (the purifier), and refers to shamans' spirit journeys to cleanse the sea so that animals return to the hunting grounds.

2. Payment terms and cancellations made by the customer
The conditions for boat charters, day trips and boat tickets, respectively, differ from each other and are therefore treated separately:
2.1 Boat charter
Salik Tours sails with boats (up to 7 pax) approved by the Danish Maritime Authority to sail with passengers in Greenlandic waters all year round.
When chartering, a fixed price is paid depending on time and price for any waiting time.
Boats can be booked all year round.
A boat charter must be paid no later than 14 days before arrival.
Rules in case of cancellation made by the customer:
If canceled up to 8 days before arrival, the amount of the trip minus a fee of DKK 150 will be refunded.
If canceled between 2 and 7 days before arrival, 75% of the amount will be refunded. If cancelled between 24 and 48 hours before arrival, 50% of the amount will be refunded. If cancelled after 24 hours before arrival, there will be no refund.
"No Show" guests will be charged the full price. No refunds will be made if the guest fails to arrive due to flight/helicopter cancellations/delays.
Credit card fees are non-refundable in case of cancellations.

2.2 Boattours
Salik Tours sails with boats (up to 7 pax) approved by the Danish Maritime Authority to sail with passengers in Greenlandic waters all year round.
Boat trips are paid a fixed price based on the current package offers as well as the price for any waiting time.
A boattrip must be paid at time of booking or by agreement from the package offer.
Rules in case of cancellation made by the customer:
If canceled up to 48 hours before departure, the ticket minus fee DKK 50 will be refunded.
If canceled after 48 hours before departure, there will be no refund.
Credit card fees are non-refundable in case of cancellations. These rules also apply to changing tickets.
In the event of a delay due to a delayed flight, your ticket can be used on a new flight that we will set up. If you do not wish to use this departure, there is no refund.
Snowmobile
Salik Tours may refer to snowmobiletours, in the area, but can currently not offer snowmobiletours in own company.
Accommodation
Salik Tours may refer to accommodation, guest houses, etc. in the area, but can currently not offer accommodation in own rooms/houses.
3. Payment method
Payment can either be made by MobilePay, bank transfer or by online payment by credit card via a payment link. For bank transfers, please provide your name and arrival date as a reference.
Once the deposit is registered, you will receive a confirmation email. Tickets and travel documents for the package tour will be received personally at the information meeting on arrival. For boat tickets, you will receive the ticket by email once the payment has been registered and you can present it on mobile, or print it and bring it with you on your journey.

4. Cancellations made by Salik Tours
4.1 Package tours
In the event that there are parts of a package tour (e.g. an excursion) that cannot be completed due to weather, Salik Tours will always try to have the part completed at a later date of the tour. If this is not possible, the customer will be refunded the value of the trip in question (share).
4.2 Boat transfers (tickets)
In case of technical problems, Salik Tours will always try to procure another boat/transport. There may be minor delays, but we will endeavour to keep them as small as possible.
In case of bad weather forecast, Salik Tours will in some cases be able to speed up a departure in order to complete the trip. If the customer does not wish to accept this offer, but wants to find an alternative to the trip himself, Salik Tours can refund the ticket (the full amount).
In all cases, Salik Tours is not liable for any lost onward connections and overnight stays.
4.3 Day trips and boat charters
If Salik Tours cancels a tour due to weather conditions and the customer is unable to participate at a later date, Salik Tours will refund the full amount. Any credit card fee will not be refunded in case of cancellation. If the trip is purchased through a travel agency, the customer must contact this on his return.
5. Insurance
We always recommend that you take out travel insurance if you do not already have one that will cover you in case of flight cancellations, illness and injury. Also consider whether the insurance should cover: cancellation, luggage and repatriation.
Salik Tours boats are all approved by the Danish Maritime Authority to sail with passengers in Greenlandic waters. When sailing with Salik Tours boats you are covered by our liability insurance as required.
6. Time changes
We reserve the right to make changes to the departure times written on your ticket. We always recommend that you contact Salik Tours staff or some of our collaborators 24 hours before your next boat transfer to verify your correct departure time.
7. Reservations
Salik Tours reserves the right to change times, prices etc. Reservations are also made for printing errors.
8. Complaints
If you have a complaint, please make it during the tour or immediately after to Salik Tours staff before departure, where we will try to rectify the matter in question.
Written complaints must be sent no later than 3 weeks after return. In all legal actions against Salik Tours, Greenland's legal system is used.
